  • To make the university and community a more vegan-friendly place to live

  • To provide a community for vegans, vegetarians, and the veg-curious

Vegan for the animals, for the environment, and for our health!

Our Mission

Our objective is to create a community on campus for students interested in plant-based eating, to spread awareness of the positive health and environmental benefits of a plant-based diet, and will focus on implementing easy ways to eat a plant-based, or vegan, diet as a college
student. We will focus on a variety of topics surrounding veganism and plant-based eating including animal welfare, health and nutrition, and the environmental impact of one’s diet.

We will volunteer within the local community at locations and events related to our cause. We will hold events and cooking demonstrations that inform students about the reasons one would have for adopting a plant-based diet and how to easily implement it into their lifestyle. We will support local farmers and food co-operatives, do outreach events at community gardens and farms. We will have guest speakers and documentary screenings as well relating to the topics of animal agriculture, veganism, and plant-based diets. We will also hold regular social events, emphasizing the sense of community between students that the club seeks to form.

Our club goal is to raise student awareness of the health benefits and the environmental benefits of a plant-based diet, as well as to bring awareness to the cruel practices utilized in industrial animal agriculture, hoping to change the minds of students about the dietary choices they make with an ultimate goal of providing more vegetarian/vegan option on campus. We seek to inspire change on a systemic and individual level, considering animal agriculture, animal testing, animal entertainment, and all other forms of animal cruelty. We also seek to create a strong sense of community on campus amongst vegans, vegetarians, and plant-based eaters or those interested.

TL;DR: A club that seeks to create community on campus for vegans, vegetarians, plant- based eaters, and those interested in the topic. We also seek to get involved on campus and in the local community to spread awareness of the positive benefits of adopting a plant-based diet.
